Active equalizer:

I purchased a Daly BMS from Amazon years ago. My system is 16S/48v LifePO4 (300ah). I have had several batteries go bad over the years because they are improperly balanced. While Daly has “Balancing” on their BMS it’s not active balancing. Even with daily charging and discharging the built-in function on the BMS is insufficient to maintain battery health. This has cost me over $1000 in battery failures.
After installing the Smart equalizer the system is now balancing nicely even with the larger batteries.
I initially had a few issues which was largely due to the lack of documentation. Fortunately, there are some end-user videos on YouTube. My balancer appeared to be DEAD. There are other 1-star reviews claiming the same. Probably those units were just fine. The system has one LED that only comes on when actively balancing. The default for active balancing startup is at 3.0v. This means ALL of your batteries must be 3v or higher to start balancing. I had one battery that was just under 3v.
